The Central Laboratory for Pesticide Residues and Heavy Elements Analysis in Food organized a training course for the winners of the Ramadan Scientific Laboratory Competition for the third year in a row from students and graduates of the Faculties of Agriculture, Science, and Veterinary Medicine and some employees in the private and government sectors. The training was organized over two consecutive days for more than 15 trainees, during which the winners were trained in the various departments of the laboratory. Prof. Dr. Hind Abdullah, Director of the Laboratory, opened the training course by getting to know the trainees and their opinions about organizing the competition and their suggestions. They emphasized the importance of this training because it will add great experience to them due to the strength of the laboratory and the presence of experts at the highest level. Abdel-Latif stated that the laboratory administration’s interest in this type of scientific competition comes within the framework of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation and the Agricultural Research Center’s plan to open the way for qualifying specialists and enhancing their expertise to prepare them for the labor market in the food safety sector. At the end of the training, Abdel-Latif handed over certificates with the participation of Dr. Taher Qaddah, Marketing Director at the laboratory, and Dr. Mahmoud El-Sisi, Training Director. It is worth noting that the laboratory is organizing this competition for the third year in a row to give the opportunity to students, graduates and private sector workers in the field of food safety to train in the laboratory using the latest devices in the world.
