Within the framework of the plan of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Agricultural Research Center in cooperation with all entities working in the field of food safety and increasing cooperation with the private sector and within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between the laboratory and Ahdo Company, Prof. Dr. Hind Abdullah, Director of the Laboratory, concluded the Central Laboratory for the Analysis of Pesticide Residues and Heavy Elements in Foods training program for specialists in the field of food safety under the title “Detection of Microbes in Water and Food” at the laboratory headquarters. This comes within the framework of the International Professional Diploma for Food Safety and Quality provided by Ahdo Company in cooperation with the laboratory, as this is the second participation of the laboratory in implementing a specialized professional diploma. This comes in light of cooperation with the private sector in academic and training work.
This program continued for several days during four weeks. The training program covered a set of important topics, the most important of which are food pathogens, techniques and methods for detecting food pathogens, sterilization methods, preparation and assessment of the efficiency of environments, internal quality control procedures, and detection of pathogens using PCR technology.
The training included explaining the role of the authorities responsible for the regulatory role in the field of food safety, whether exports or imports.
Prof. Dr. Hind Abdel-Latif, Director of the Laboratory, concluded the training program activities by discussing with the trainees their opinions and suggestions about the training program and the extent of its benefit.
